-"I'm quietly judging you."
Well, he says that, but he can be thinking about a hot dog for all we know. And that's how I felt about the whole movie. The introduction was rather interesting, some moments I also liked, but "the thought", which I had trouble even identifying in the giant mass of struggling policemen and hurt children, was too tainted by pathos and sentiment and god knows what, and a lot of the motives were used more than once, and I don't like that either. One old guy forced by the approaching exitus to be hypocritically honest should be enough, no need to put more of them in one film.
I guess that is my judgment: too many ingredients were used. I'd rather eat something else than to chew through this again to be told that people tend to be nasty to each other and that they should try to be nicer instead. It reminded me a lot of Donnie Darko, with the exception that Darko felt way more organic in its chaos.
